VOICES FROM THE CIRCLE: Career Planning Strategies for Serving Low-Income, Urban Native Annericans
Abstract : The article presents career interventions for Indians of North America in U.S. within the framework of intergenerational trauma, interconnectedness, language medicine and the great circle metaphor. The Bureau of Indian Affairs recognizes 564 tribal entities with the Cherokee, Navajo, Sioux and Chippewa comprising the majority. Based on data available, these entities are deprived of higher education opportunities and employment, and are mired in various social problems
