Abstract. The catalytic activity of Rh/CeO2–ZrO2 for NO reduction by C3H6 under stoichiometric conditions was found to depend strongly on the Ce/Zr composition. Rh/CeO2–ZrO2 with a Ce/Zr molar ratio of 50/50 (Rh/CZ-50/50) had the greatest activity; Ce/Zr = 74/26 (Rh/CZ-74/26), the least. The Rh/CZ-50/50 also showed specifically high intrinsic activity expressed in terms of turnover freq…
Abstract. The selective oxidation of propane to acetone and 2-propanol with H2 and O2 was studied on Au/TS-1 by kinetic and spectroscopic analysis. A kinetic study using a factorial design at conditions where the catalyst was stable and gave propane conversions of 90%, resulted in a power-rate law expression of the form roxyg. = koxyg.(H2)0.74(O2)0.36(C3H8)0.29. In situ Au L3-edge X-ray ab…
Abstract. The vapor-phase epoxidation of propylene with H2 and O2 over a highly dispersed Au/TS-1 catalyst was carried out in a packed-bed catalytic membrane reactor. The membrane reactor allowed the use of high concentrations of H2 and O2 (40% each) that were well within the explosive regime, and the production rate of propylene oxide was improved by 100–200% compared with that from a co…
